Loughborough Training Focus Camps Weekend Summary
This weekend running camp is designed for runners of all abilities; If you love running & want to improve, this is for you.
Across two days of high-performance coaching and athlete education, you will learn from industry-leading experts and leave equipped with the knowledge and inspiration to improve your running.
James Thie will lead the camp coaching program and will be joined by Sports Physiotherapist & biomechanics expert Matt Bergin, alongside Callum & Gavin from the Running Trips team who will add their extensive experience and knowledge.
James will draw on his extensive international coaching experience, including as Team GB coach at the Tokyo Olympic Games to introduce you to the high-performance training methods of elite runners he coaches. He will teach you how to utilise these in your own training for improved efficiency and faster running. Matt will deliver on biomechanical risk factors for injuries in runners and strategies for improving physical performance, for both injured and non-injured runners alike. Callum will update us on the latest advances in exercise science and how these are relevant to you as non-elite competitive runners, and Gavin will share his experiences coaching world record holders and Olympic medalists in Kenya.
Across the weekend, you will be coached through whole group seminar sessions, small group practical & theoretical workshops and running sessions under the watchful eye of our expert team.
During more casual Q&A sessions James will speak about his experience as a member of the coaching staff for Team GB at the Tokyo Olympics and Gavin will draw upon his experience of coaching Olympic medal winners and world record holders in Iten Kenya.
It’s an action-packed weekend full of high-quality, engaging content, and stimulating training sessions. Of course, there will also be time to relax and recover between training with planned downtime and social sessions.
